
Crewsafe V200 Submariner Maritime Survivor Locating Device
The Crewsafe V200 is a compact, easy-to-use submariner distress beacon that enables rescue forces to locate and track crew on the surface following a submarine escape or abandonment.
Worn with a submariner's escape suit or abandonment suit (SEIE), the Crewsafe V200 transmits a unique device identlty and GPS data via AIS (Automatic Identification System), VHF DSC and VHF voice message. It also transmits a continous homing signal on 121.5 MHz and features a high-visibility strobe light.
This provides an alert to any surface or airborne unit fitted with standard marine VHF DSC radio, AIS receivers and/or direction finding equipment to locate submarine casualties on the surface over a wide area. The device updates position data regularly for a minimum of 48 hours which may be increased by using the power-saving mode.
